  • Flute music of Russia and the former Soviet Republics
  • The development of music for winds in Russia and the Soviet Union
  • The Russian flute school and pedagogical materials
  • Russian/Soviet music and composers (including those of the diaspora)
  • Theoretical analysis as an aid to music learning and interpretation
  • Successful adaptations for students with disabilities in the music classroom
